No Risks with Bilingual
We work with all of the same textbooks in our English classes as in the other classes. However, in the bilingual branch, we use special practice materials and readings in addition to standard class work.
As the class offerings remain the same as in the parallel classes, even in the later forms, no level is disadvantaged. The same class material and course offerings are available (a second foreign language in class 6 and “Differenzierungsbereich” in class 8).
In the upper level
In addition to a mandatory intensive English course, the upper level students enroll in an entry level course (currently history) in English. The students then also take a test in this subject in their exams (A level = Abiturprüfung) in English.
The students in the bilingual programme receive an additional certificate along with their Abitur certificate
which documents their bilingual education with the corresponding qualifications.
